INCO: What motivated you to enroll in the Green Digital Skills Certificate program?

Zineb: I was motivated to enroll in the Green Digital Skills Certificate program because I want to help in protecting our environment. I believe that technology can play a big role in making the world more sustainable, and I wanted to learn how to use digital tools to support this goal. Also, I saw this program as a great opportunity to improve my skills and advance my career while doing something positive for the planet

INCO: Why do you think learning new green skills is important in the world of today?

Zineb: Learning new green skills is very important today because our world faces many environmental problems like climate change, pollution, and the loss of natural resources. Green skills help us find new ways to use technology that are good for the environment. By learning these skills, we can help reduce our impact on the planet and find sustainable solutions for the future.

INCO: What skills have you learned as a part of the program?

Zineb: In the Green Digital Skills Certificate program, I have learned many useful skills. I have learned how to develop software in ways that use less energy and are more efficient. I also learned about managing digital data centers to make them more environmentally friendly. Additionally, I gained knowledge on how to assess and improve the sustainability of digital projects

INCO: What has surprised you most about this experience?

Zineb: What surprised me most about this experience is the existence of many different ways that technology can help by them the environment. I did not realize that things like optimizing computer programs and using data to monitor environmental changes could have such a big impact. I was also surprised by how many people in the program share the same passion for sustainability, which has been very inspiring.

INCO: How do you plan to use the skills you've learned from the course?

Zineb: I plan to use the skills I’ve learned to promote sustainable practices at work and in my community. This means suggesting new green digital projects, improving energy efficiency in existing systems, and teaching others about the importance of digital sustainability. I also want to collaborate with other professionals to create larger changes that can help protect the environment.

INCO: Is there any advice you want to share with our future learners about green digital skills and digital sustainability?

Zineb: My advice to future learners is to stay curious and be motivated by the importance of your work. Green digital skills are not only useful for your career but also crucial for protecting our planet.
